Seasoning cast iron has nothing to do with the oil's smoke point. Peanut oil does not give a nice polymerized non-stick coating like linseed oil, it just leaves a gooey/sticky residue. I know, I tried lots of oils/fats.

In general they ALL SUCK. If they get you in the right position they'll take advantage. So just shop for the best deal and forget the BS. Yep, it's all a rip off. I wish we had government provided fiber internet here so I don't have to deal with getting it from cable companies who bribe politicians...

OP asked for the best. Flax seed oil is definitely the best. Especially if you cook at higher temperatures. Sigh. WHY is it the best? What does it do that other oils dont? And when you use them, wash them in plain water while they're still hot or boil a little water in them if something is really stuck.

Do you also have to wait if you have a CCW or is that the same? Yes. I had this yesterday. A customer with a CCW got a conditional. She figured a 72 hour wait the most, but the guy in charge of paperwork told her she had to wait until it was approved, no matter how long that took. I wasn’t aware ...
