Re: Cop Shoots UNARMED 17-Year-Old While Eating A Burger
Even in criminal court, they don't just hand out public defenders. A single person would have to make less than $25760/year to qualify. At 40 hours a week, that's less than $12.39 an hour. Considering the average 1 br apartment is $21K/year in Florida, that's a homeless guy. And the homeless guy wou...

Re: Cop Shoots UNARMED 17-Year-Old While Eating A Burger
It's almost impossible for the cop to face a civil lawsuit. The department will pay up, and the taxpayers will foot the bill. In practice, qualified immunity is almost absolute immunity. Besides, who has the money to actually pay out? An unemployable former cop getting out of prison? Or a local gove...

Re: Favorite Carrying Style?
I have a J frame 32 H&R mag that I usually pocket carry. Sometimes a Kinber Micro 9, or Sig P238 if the pockets are small.
I carry a compact or full size autoloader if I'm traveling.

Re: So frustrated with Taurus
Taurus is Brazil's version of Kel-Tec, except Kel-Tec innovates. And Kel-Tec happily fixes the junk they send out. A lot of Taurus threads start out sounding like a woman who keeps going back to her abusive boyfriend and being surprised she got another black eye. It's followed by at least one commen...

Re: Kimber MICRO 9 NIGHTFALL
I have 2. I have one that came with a Crimson Trace laser grip, and I have an ESV. My hands were a little too fat for the laser grip- covered the laser. I bought replacement grips. I carry it fairly regularly. The action of the ESV was a little tighter, but it's been reliable at the range. And they'...

Re: License Plate Look Up
I didn't want to get anyone in trouble. I'll try the 211 number. The local police have been out there. The lady isn't completely out of it. Like the lady knew we had to give her 48 hours notice to come out to the house, and we're not allowed in. But she didn't remember my wife calling her. I mention...

License Plate Look Up
There is a squatter on a family member's property. I'm trying to find her family and get her out of there and get her some help. She seems to be sliding into dementia. And the property was torn up by the hurricane, and she likely won't be able to live there anyway with the roof leaks and mold Not fi...

They finally got it done? I remember going to a meeting at least ten years ago and they were voting on funding a study to evaluate the cost.

Re: Video of firearm @ airport arrest
Weird. There's no reaason you couldn't check a gun in a backpack, but if you didn't have a CCW, you couldn't even brng it onto the airport.
It must have more to do with the handgun being in a locked case.

Re: Had A Visitor This Morning!
They would nest behind a shop I worked at. The female is really picky about what she builds the nest out of. The male can't just pick sticks off the ground. He has to rip clean ones out of trees. Sometimes those aren't good enough. Sometimes the male spends 20 minutes ripping a branch out of a tree,...
