Thanks for the link!
I ordered some, you can get creative with some T- posts and hangers, but if you have low rounds keep hitting the T- post, you gotta hang them across a chain
RUG357, you said your hitting these with 30-06 ball, at what distance ? and free swinging or mounted ? I've seen 223 destroy 3/8 AR plate at under 100 yds

I shoot them from about 70-75 yards. The target is hung on two long chains from a steel frame...free swinging. Shot them with 30-06 Winchester white box ball ammo and Winchester Super X 150gr soft point without problem. Also shot plenty of 308 Winchester hunting ammo of various types with no problem. The key is to have them free swinging to absorb energy.

I ordered a set as well. At that price I think I'll be happy. Thanks for the info.
I finally got to try out these plates. I hung them with chains to allow them to swing freely.
From about 10 yards 22lr, 38 special and 9mm (FMJ) left no dimples on the plate. Even 9mm fired from carbine left no dimple.
From about 100 yards LC M193 fired from 16" carbine left shallow dimples. Compared to my other 3/8" AR500 plate from 5 or 6 years ago it left deeper dimple. IMHO these plates are not as hard as my previous plates. I didn't have the chance to shoot them with 308 yet.

One of the Amazon reviewers makes a strong argument that they are not AR500 as specified. I don't know that it matters to me but it might to others.
I agree that these are definitely are not the same hardness as my previous AR500 plates...but then they were a lot more expensive.
These Amazon plates will work great for pistol calibers at any distance and should be fine for rifle calibers (non-magnum) with soft nose ammo from 100 yards. I'm shoot them with .223 and .308 Win with soft nose/hunting ammo next time.

I got a set but havent tried them yet, the mill scale on AR500 plates is different than these so they may not be true 500.
