I have no doubts in my mind that I will move toward the active shooting scene. What worries me are the police officers arriving after me and thinking that I am one of the perps.P5 Guy wrote: ↑Tue Aug 20, 2019 8:53 am https://zbrojnice.com/2019/08/19/analys ... e-killers/

I don't know that I would advance towards an active shooter, I have no formal police training. Just lots of IDPA matches. I would take cover if unable to escape, and engage if necessary
Exactly this. Police officers have shot other officers of their own department who responded in plain clothes. What if you as an armed citizen respond and see someone with a gun and shoot them, only to find out that THEY were also a responding citizen or police officer?
I presented these at work one day and was laughed at for obvious reasons, but I still have one and keep it in my driver's door. Badges (CWP, police, sheriff, security or otherwise) are not easily seen, especially from the back.

I like the idea, but if I can buy it then the bad guy can do it also, thus making it useless.

Anyone carrying a CWP badge DESERVES to be shot...
- I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you... -
You can buy one that does not say "POLICE" on it, they require an agency ID to purchase that.

Unless you are a sworn and trained responder, it might be prudent to save yourself and those with you from the proceedings.
Let the professionals take care of things.
A concealed weapons license doesn't oblige you to take care of anyone other than your own.
So say those who are the responders.
Unless maybe you are the only one available to deal with the situation.
Then what?
