If they're balking at $150 camera they're not the kind of place who is going to buy $1500 clocks, set up the network infrastructure to support it, hire the IT team to support the infrastructure and application, and the annual license costs of the time management suite that could stretch into the millions.
What about an old cell phone with an SD slot? Casually set it to record and plug it in the corner... Check for suspicious activity, then check the tape...
