Fist fight today on Nebraska Ave., Tampa

Post by Ricordo »

Witnessed this morning a fist fight in the middle of Nebraska Avenue in Tampa between two individuals, probably in their early-mid twenties.

One of them with a missing foreleg. The one handicapped spent most of the time on the pavement.

Disgusting. Who the heck brawls with a man missing a leg?

Granted, I have no idea what gave rise to the fight but, darn!

A couple of folks had intervened and by the time the handicapped stood up and I noticed his condition, it was basically over.

I looked around for a prosthetic. Didn't see one.

Corner of Yukon.

Quite a few watching and videotaping when I drove to it. It might be in FB. Two cars in the middle of the four lane road. One of the guys seemed to have been riding in a Caddy. The handicapped in a Honda SUV?

And btw, both were flailing away like 15 year old girls.

Four or five ladies with the usual pushing and shoving at each other. The Caddy headed south and the Honda diagonally in front of the Caddy.

I was four cars back of the Caddy.

Btw, been 31 years in TB. That was a first for me.

And to think that at the time I was reminiscing about how good NY street hot dogs taste.

Made with mineral-enriched Hudson River water.

I thought this was odd. When the fight was basically over, the guy went for a last shot at the one-legged man. The handicapped turned his back on him and the other guy went with an overhand slap. Which was weird because they were both the same height. Fwiw, the handicapped looked like an overweight running back. More like a fullback with a pronounced belly.

After slapping, the guy fell back on his arse as if he had hit a wall. The handicapped did not flinch, did not move, he didn't see it coming, excellent balance. It looked cartoonish the way the other guy fell back.

After that the right lane cleared and I moved off.
