Yea I’ve never shot the 22wmr. The 22lr is spot on. In my opinion the rest one available. Avoid the smith m&p15-22. After awhile the trigger and hammer pins wallow out from shooting because the receiver is a soft polymer

I have one. They are awesome. Not sure if they are still made.
I’ve had one for about 18 years for my son to use.
In my experience they can be very reliable.
Mine had frequent FTE and FTF with Federal bulk ammo. Worked better with Remington bulk ammo. With CCI Minimag 40gr solid it was very reliable and accurate.
I’ll probably sell mine as my son is grown up and uses 5.56 now and my daughter only shoots bolt action rifles.
