On another related note the local news here the last couple of days had various surrounding counties sheriffs (Pinellas and Pasco perhaps? I cant recall) asking for gun owners to not shoot their weapons into the air as part of the new years celebrations.
That's a hard sell to some lesser IQ folks living in densely populated areas that refuse to believe their discharged bullets have to return to earth at a fairly significant rate or speed.
I remember at one of my wife's office Christmas parties in Miami where a Marielito was trying to convince me that a bullet shot up into the sky returns to earth "as soft as a feather", "you can catch it in your hand" he said.
