If you are hitting FGE then drive a little ways up the road and go to Hull's Seafood on Granada in Ormond Beach, not but 3-4 miles from FGE. Also Donnie's Doughnuts on the beach side of Granada is pretty tasty.

Can't go to the area and not visit the Last Resort Bar at least once. That was Aileen Wuornos' final hangout before being caught as the infamous hooker/serial killer.

Also, the best grilled wings in this part of Florida is the First Turn Lounge. Make sure you get them grilled.

Same folks own the South Turn Lounge and Restaurant, 1540 S Nova Rd, Daytona Beach, FL 32114. It's up nearer the Speedway in Daytona. I never go through Daytona without stopping there for wings if they are open.

Google pats riverfront cafe for a great breakfast on the river in port Orange. It's hidden behind a neighborhood next to a marina.

You may be able to drive on the beach still and browse
