Works pretty darn well. Have not used it for a few days, but Sammy still threatens the horses and my son, next door. Stubborn!
Thanks for the recommendation on methodology. I think I'll add this in combination with more thorough training.

Never had a problem, but when insurers ask what breed my dog is, I always answer "mixed." If it works for Elizabeth Warren...

So standard answer is "mixed breed / rescue dog / unsure."

Was just wondering myself, is it a pure bred GSD, or is it a lab cross?

Even the shelters adopt out tons of "lab-crosses" every year.

Either way, training and time fix most things canine, so always a good idea regardless.

Insurance issues vary by carrier. I can have dogs, or a pool, but not both.

My GSD is a lab...according to my homeowners insurance. They’ll never know.

that works great until something happens like the dog biting
someone. had a neighbor that did that for years claiming his
pitbull was some kind of mix and one day it attacked some kid
handing out flyers door to door.

the cops and animal control came out and later the kids family
sued him. his home owners sent out an investigator who spoke
to all his neighbors and confirmed it was indeed a pitbull. they
denied coverage and the guy lost everything including his house
in the lawsuit !
