I just found out Lantac has the dragon w threads for my SR5 can. So I’m defin gonna need that Caldwell fan now

This is an old thread, but didn't see anyone mention a welding blanket. They do retain heat, but I use it to take the suppressor off, then let it sit on it open air to cool down, then wrap it up and put it away, even while still hot. So far so good.

I managed to melt part of a nomex sleeve by leaving a can in there too long, Keith's buddy Jeremy has melted bag sauce on his Dead Air can from putting it away too quickly too

If your main concern is getting burned handling it, there are ways to mitigate that. I have a separate "supressor bag" which has all the stuff I need for using suppressors (silver anti-seize, small spray bottle with water, small compressed air, etc.) and it now has a pair of welding gloves made of thick leather which I can use to mount or remove suppressors even when hot. I also bought a small welding blanket from Harbor Freight and cut it into a smaller piece (about18"x18") which I can lay the suppresor on or wrap around it to put it away. The mini blanket has handled it pretty well. I also understand there are some heavy knit BBQ gloves you can buy that handle pretty high temps.

Just a thought.

You can also shoot your suppressor first and then leave it sit on the bench and cool down while you shoot your other guns.....lol

I feel like this is excellent advice. Gonna get a welders towel and welders gloves and bring em w me next time. Won’t even be a thing next time I go

We are full of excellent advice here at the new FSN. Unfortunately, we prefer to dispense much bullshyte and less quality advice.

just remember if you wrap up something hot, in like a welding glove , it will insulate it and keep it hot

someone tried selling hot can transport sleeves, but it was a fail
