Lilwoody- $4000 is about the going rate for a single implant and implant criwn). $2000 for the surgical fee, $2000 for the implant crown.)
$290 for an implant crown is impossible, the component and lab fee required to fabricate and machine mill an implant retained crown is far in excess of $290.
There are different type of crowns, ranging from stainless steel or acrylic preformed crowns made to restore baby teeth in kids to milled crowns intended to restore prepared natural teeth to the most costly, a milled crown and abutment intended to restore a single implant.
Hope this explanation helps.

A few years back you could get a complete set of dentures for about $500.00 at Aspen dental. That was the route I had to take.

By crown I mean a regular, grind on a broken tooth and put a fake tooth on top. This is covered by my insurance.

$4000 for a conventional crown to restore a broken tooth seems excessive
