Good result, but yea it's a little questionable with the facts reported so for.
Miami Beach, Fl, could go either way on the driver's outcome on this one depending on what race the thief was.

Yeah.
Actually, no.

In California, the whole legal system has been infiltrated by commies--from the legislature which passes the laws, to the courts which enforce them, including the appellate courts. It is a lost cause.

Here, there very well may be commies on the ground in Miami-dade county. But the legislature and appellate courts, both the 3rd DCA and the Florida Supreme Court, are not. So the statutes and the appellate courts are much, much better.

It is like comparing North Korea to Canada. Yeah, Canada is fucked in many ways--but it ain't North Korea, bub.

At least in North Korea they just flat out execute you instead of making you waste 5 years of your life and a quarter of a million dollars defending yourself because you got carjacked in the wrong county.

Whatever--that has not happened, but please cling to your fantasies.

If you think prosecutors and elected trial judges like to get smashed by appellate courts, you know nothing. Which is likely the case.
