I have had the M1 carbine for over 2 years and have never fired it. I have a shit ton of ammo for it maybe I should take it out to play a little. The 03-A3 is a tack driver in the right hands, but my eyes aren't what they used to be.

Only M1 Carbine I ever had was a Plainfield. It was, looking back, probably one of the most fun multi-purpuse rifles I owned. I wouldn't hesitate to use it for SD/HD, it was a mild and pleasant plinking gun as well.

I miss it. I downsized calibers and .30 ended up getting chopped. If I ever find myself in a better financial situation maybe I'll expand again.

Sadly the only USGI type firearm I still own is made in China
