The doctors cite the CDC's own statistics on flu mortality, to point out the fact that, although the COVID-19 infection rate is very high, the mortality rate is not significantly different from the seasonal flu, and we don't shut down the country for the flu. They also make a compelling case against the harmful effects of quarantining the healthy, as opposed to quarantining the infected (which is what "quarantine" has historically meant), such as increased incidence of child and spousal abuse, drug and alcohol use, and weakening of the immune system, making quarantined people MORE susceptible to infection once shelter-in-place restrictions are lifted, leading to a spike in the illness rate and an understaffed health system due to furloughed physicians and nurses.

It does go against the "official" narrative, and so it is being attacked - but unlike these doctors, the attackers aren't able to cite any hard data.

Science, whatever that is, is messy. The search for "truth" should not be confused with the constant challenge of what is known. DaVinci, when he wasn't painting the Mona Lisa, considered the possibilities of flight. The development of the internal combustion engine made it possible a couple hundred years later. There are studies that indicate that while it may not be 100% effective as a therapy, persons who get it EARLY in the sickness have an 80 to 90% survival rate. I will take those odds every day of the week. There is also evidence it may have the ability to prevent or mitigate the disease. How many doctors are prescribing it for themselves and their families? H.C.Q. doesn't actually cure the disease, it does help control the body's immune response from becoming overloaded and actually killing you. Covid kills largely because the lungs get full of the junk produced by the body's response. But, I'm no doctor so I don't want to get out in the weeds.

Our democracy is threatened if corporations become the arbiters of truth and are free to censor or delete opposing view points. Whether H.C.Q. works or doesn't is something to be openly and freely debated. Everybody is so fond of the word "data" today, let's get to see the data. Let's get to hear how various experts interpret the data. We know that doctors are routinely using it to treat people as an off-label application. We know it is cheap, easily produced, etc. We know hundreds of thousands of people take it daily for lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, and other conditions. What percentage of those people have adverse reactions?

Some unelected tech wonk should not have the power to determine what is or is not true. Tech wonks should not be free to pick winners and losers. Either the internet is a free and open dialog (or maybe a screaming match) or it is a very scary propaganda machine favoring whomever or what ever cause the masters chose to publish. What happened to the maxim about I disagree with what you said but I will defend your right to say it? How can we expect to make informed decisions about risk vs benefit when the information is edited or prejudged before it gets to the public?

Agree 100% - but these tech wonks are not determining whether something is true - they're censoring content solely because it doesn't fit the narrative they want to promote at the time. Truth and facts have nothing to do with it.

Remember this also. With the flu we have shots each year to lessen it's effect. The flu also does not discriminate. It will kill both young and old.

Also flu numbers are askewed because not everyone who gets the flu goes to the doctor, get's tested or when people die from pre-existing medical conditions get's tested for the flu.

The covid19 is over inflated. For instance one man in his nineties which was in hospice dying anyways. Bless his heart Died but they went ahead and tested him aways for covid19.

Bam another COVID death. Yet in the very same situation where that person or others simular. We're to die before this COVID crap. They did not test them to see if flu played a roll in their deaths. If they did do tests like that. It would just blow away the flu death numbers and make COVID look like a common cold.

Heck even if you went to the hospital for the flu they did not test you. They'd just send you home with some kind of feel good meds. That treated the symptoms.

There are old school drugs that actually have been shown to work against COVID. Front line doctors and patients testifying to this. Yet our incompetent FDA IN THE NEED TO JUSTIFY THEIR WORTH. Plus at the cost of lives are saying hold on here. We've as in the FDA have not put our rubber stamp on this.

Now once a vaccine for COVID is developed. Just like the one for the flu. This COVID B.S will be nothing. Remember more people die from the flu with a vaccine than this which has no vaccine yet and on top of that. COVID actually seems to respond to a variety of old school medications where the side effects are already known. It's not like using a brand new untested drug.

I've been saying it since day one. Also notice how the states, counties and cities controlled by DEMOCRATS are not wanting to give up control. They are using this virus to seize power from the AMERICAN PEOPLE.

By godson's dad that works for Sarasota county FIRE RESCUE told me they had maybe 14 firefighters test positive for covid19.

I've seen firefighters come to work with the flu and just about everyone in the station with the flu. The county did not send them home. As a matter of fact. They'd bitch if you tried to go home with the flu. WTF.

The numbers have not added up since day one. Because I've got friend with several depts and who work at hospitals. Just like the flu. If you have underlining health conditions or are elderly. It can be deadly.

But with the flu even very strong and very healthy people can die from complications of the flu at any age.

I'm sorry that's just not my opinion but health care worker and first responders opinions also. But even then when you lose a loved one it a tragic event. Yes if you get sick from it. It can kick your but.

I know one year 80 thousand people died from the flu and that's just the reported cases because they did not test everyone that died for the flu because they were terminal to begin with.

I can promise you if it were not for the flu vaccine. The flu would spread like wild fire.

There was absolutely no reason to shut AMERICA down like this. If you want to decuss numbers. Just wait until the United States has the highest bankruptcy rate in it's history hit from this virus. I'll say this about ER doctors from reading the replies. I can do a 12 lead EKG in the field. We took a very extensive coarse on EKGs. Because we do so many of them in and around Sun City Center we've become very good at Interpretation of EKGs.

Now here's what I've discovered over the years. EKGs are pretty straight forward in what they look like pattern wise. But in an ER if you show 10 different doctors that same EKG you'll get 10 different answers.

Doctors will contradict each other all the time. My SIL before she died was in the hospital. She had kidney fail. Get's new kidneys and has a heart attack. You never know.

But she was in hospital. I kept noticing her B/P on the monitor. Now this was before she got her kidney transplants. But here B/P was way low. I asked her about it and she said that the doctors were trying to get it up. But we're having problems.

She had a patch on her right shoulder area. I asked her what that was. She said nitro patch. I said oh really. Nurse came into room and I pointed out to the nurse that they should not be giving her nitro.

Because its contraindicated to do so with her B/P being so low. I told the nurse that that nitro with her BP that low could cause her to go i to cardiac arrest. Plus nitro will lower your BP.

My SIL B/P was way low.. Nurse looked at me. A moment later a doctor came in in. Looked at her chart and order the patch to be removed. B/P went up to within normal range and she felt better.

My point is she was being treated by more than one doctor. Neither knew what the other was doing. So you must be your own advocate by doing research.

Am I a doctor no. I am a PARAMEDIC though for a great FIRE dept that gives us alot of training and the ability to do way more than most other depts.

I noticed in the replies in that one article. Doctors attacking each other with their own beliefs. Mostly based on their feelings. Alot of medical professionals are just ignoring the numbers and promoting fear.

You do not need to be a doctor to do your own research based on the facts presented. You just need common sense and a good head on your shoulders to see something is not right here. That this virus is being used as a political weapon against the people.

You want to gain power. Shut a nation down and cause it to go into chaos, become dependant on the government for it's even basic needs.

Hospitals are empty except for the cess pool NY CITY and that's because they are stacked on top of each other like eggs in a carton.
