The leader of a self-described Black militia was busted on federal charges Thursday after authorities said he was caught on camera pointing a rifle at officers during a summer protest in Louisville.

John Johnson, who’s also known as “Grandmaster Jay,” was part of a group of armed protesters who gathered in the city’s Jefferson Square Park on Sept. 4 for what turned out to be a tense night of demonstrations.

Some of the officers who were conducting surveillance from a roof in the area were “blinded by a light” that was later found to be a flashlight mounted to the suspect’s “AR platform style rifle,” according to the FBI.

Funny how when officers do the same thing to citizens (point weapons at them), even when they have done nothing illegal, the officers are not guilty of the same crime.

I don't much care who this dipshit is,these charges are bullshit. 20yrs for what could well be nothing more than sweeping a rooftop with his rifle or using his rifle scope as a spotting scope? Unless they have video or pictures showing definitively that the weapon was (a) loaded, (b) his finger was ON the trigger, (c) the rifle was pointed directly at them, and (d) he had any intention of firing, fuck these charges and the asshole that filed them.

If you support these charges, you should keep them in mind before you head out to any pro 2A carry event. Never know when an officer might perceive that your weapon is "pointed at them".
