Anyone else here dabbling? Anyone following the GME(Gamestop) and other short squeeze market situation(s)? Would love to start a thread on this here if other members into it.

My wife has been bitten by FOMO. The many reports of dimwitted RobinHooders putting their “stimmy” checks into the market and coming out rich has made her susceptible to another bad decision. I would have thought she’d learned her lesson after marrying me.
Risk and volatility are just too high in the markets. We’re seeing a crash up that will precede the mother of all crashes down. Timing is uncertain. You place your bets and assume the risks, as usual.

I totally agree. However, in the meantime as long as you're only playing with money you can afford to lose, it can be quite fun!

She just texted me that RH has limited stock buys into many mining companies, where the next focus of the mob was reportedly fixated.
She’s got it bad, but has only dipped her toe into it so far. If she makes us rich, I am so getting the hell out of here.

RH has limited buys into 50 companies in total! And no more fractional purchases, only full shares to drive the little guy's money/influence off the table. Shame on them!

Isn’t that a departure from their business model, fractional purchases?

I just listened to Peter Schiff’s latest podcast in which he described the RH business model. Very informative.

PRECISELY! It was literally part of their ad campaigns and everything and now they're caving to the Wall Street pressure to bail them out. Unbelievable! Changing the rules mid-game because you don't like the score.

Have no fear, Sleepy Uncle Joe is here! With his Kommieala, they will be spreading trillions to all the folks that helped cheat the election. And that includes Wall Street. Sure, the market will crash again like it does ever decade or so. You and I may get wiped out, but the cheater supporters will be silently bailed. Watch out how they reward the Gobernment drones in the deep state! No worries!
What is a few trillion $ more over what he has already promised to foreign combative governments - just a few more planes full of pallets full of cash to take flight. And they will not forget all the domestic illegals and the millions of others that will come in waves, and the "needy" worthless POS on the dole? Don't forget all the rioters, excuse me, peaceful protestors, that burned our cities down last year. And let us not forget all the reparations that will be paid out, or paid off.
The reward you and I will get? Higher taxes, higher fuel costs, silent inflation, harder to find employment, and more expensive and considerably worse healthcare. And all your retirees will enjoy the negative interest rates the Kommies will bring over from Europe! Just the US version of the VAT!
All those needy folks will be fine. You and I, my friends, not so much!

There’s no such thing as a free lunch.
There’s also no such thing as running out of other people’s money when you have the world’s fastest printing press.
“This time, it’ll be different!”, exclaim the Federal Reserve.
