Gimenez WILL vote for an AW ban as well. At least that's what he told me 15 years ago when he asked me to support him when running for Miami mayor.

Better start working on the Senators. It'll be close.

I suppose there'll be a court challenge if it passes and is signed, but relying on the courts?

You all will want to get your private deals done. I suspect one can guarantee atf agents will be setting up stings.

Is there even a way for a private individual to do a nics check? this is just one more attempt to tax transactions with fees and controls.

Notice also the increase in response time allowed for fbi checks. What's the fbi good at? Foot Dragging/slow walking, of course. Another attempt at an end run around the 2nd, without taking it on directly.

Ideally, this will get tied up in court, if it passes the senate, which i expect.

There is no provision for a private individual to conduct a background check. A private sale must involve a licensed dealer taking possession of the firearm to conduct the background check as if the licensed dealer were selling it directly to the buyer.
