Hey guys, I will be in the Bradenton/ Manatee county area next week for a few days and was wondering if there’s any shops or places to check out? I will be in a class during the day but will be free after 5. Gun stores? Any good liquor stores with good bourbon or tequila selections
I’m staying right on the river near downtown.

Anna Maria Island.
If you have time, Sarasota: St. Armands, Siesta Key.

Shark Coast Tactical.
Just bought a Glock 45 blue label from them a couple of weeks ago. Small place but high volume.

Thanks guys...this may end up getting cancelled. The area im supposed to be going is now under an evacuation due to the Piney Point old mine leaking and showing imminent signs of collapse. We will see if they move the class.

If things change and you do happen to come here, I've lived here in Bradentucky since 1999 and there are only 2 places I take folks who visit from out of town, The Beach House and the Rod & Reel pier restaurant.
Take Cortez road west till you cant go any further, that will put you almost in the parking lot of The Beach House, the food is mediocre at best and overpriced, but the back seating area is on the gulf and the view is great, thats what you will be paying for.
The Rod & Reel on Anna Maria Island, it's a rickety 2 story wooden building on the end of the pier and good reasonably priced fish & chips, cold beer, and if weather conditions permit an exceptional view of the gulf and the Sunshine Skyway Bridge, my second choice to take folks visiting from out of town.
Someone here recommended St Armands circle in Sarasota, my honest opinion is dont bother, it's way too crowded, parking is difficult and $$$$$.
As far as Shark Coast tactical, I cannot say, I've never been there.

Yep... my class is supposed to be at the jail facility which is now in the evac zone and my trip from my hotel was from the south so that is shut down too. Waiting to hear if we are moved or cancelled!

It is interesting. I'm up in the Tampa area and when calling around to the blue label dealers in my area (Tampa/St. Pete) none of them had any BL Glocks and certainly couldn't order any. I tried all the ones I know of and it was a big 'we've got nothing and we can't order anything'. Yet you look on Shark Coast's FB page they are constantly getting in stacks of BL Glocks. Just last week I saw a post with, I dunno, maybe close to a dozen 43X blue label pistols in two stacks.
When I was in there a few weeks ago they had sold the last of four 19X blue labels but had three Gen 5 G19's and the one G45. And the G19's were MOS models.
So yeah, they've got connections that others just can't meet or beat. It's a bit of a drive for me but it was worth it for that trip.

They got odd and unique rifles and other stuff.. i almost think they buy boutique shitnoff gunbroker and just tack 100$ on the tag to have fancy shit on the wall.
6 months ago... standard base springfield m1a. 2000$..... uhm no lol.
But they did have a nice sig 226 legion with red dot that i wanted... so... cash is king..
