Stephen Martin, the IRS director of exemptions, sent a letter to Christians Engaged said the organization used Bible teachings “typically affiliated with the Republican Party and candidates” to educate people on how to vote.
By teaching members about issues such as “the sanctity of life, the definition of marriage, biblical justice, laws vs. lawlessness, freedom of speech, religious liberty, government and business ethics, human trafficking, fiscal responsibility in government budgeting, defense, borders and immigration, U.S. and Israel relations,” Martin said the group had “engaged in prohibited campaign intervention.”

“While you educate voters on what the bible says about issues, your educational activities are not neutral,” he wrote. “The topics typically are affiliated with distinct candidates and specific political party platforms.”

The IRS noted that the group’s leadership is filled with ‘GOP activists’ and decided the organization does not qualify for tax-exempt status.
Looks like Biden has brought back Obama's weaponized IRS to go after the Right again, using this if you "educate voters on what the bible says about issues, your educational activities are not neutral” as a precedence no religious institution is safe, basically now you either worship as the IRS dictates or you pay the price.

No church should be tax exempt. With that said, lots of churches openly get political. If this is the standard, then it should be enforced across the board, starting with Rev. Wright at Obama's Chicago church.

Agree with highlighted words

This is the most distrubing part of what was said to me. Like how many churches are filled with DEMOCRATIC activist and openly admit it. I've a feeling this is a sign of what's to come in their attempt to stomp out all political opposition. Remember they consider the GOP, CONSERVATIVES or any group that does not support this left wing extremist political faction of our government RIGHT WING EXTREMIST and therefore are a threat to their corrupted and illegally seized power.

Abolish tax exemption for all religious institutions. How many churches/synagogues/mosques/whatever have you seen occupying acres of prime real estate while paying no property tax? How many millions do televangelists pull in, and how much tax do they pay?
