The latest trend on my Youtube "Suggestions" list, but it hooked me. I can't stop LOLing!


Meet the "Bushman." A guy who dresses up in a ghilly suit but with leaves all over it. He hides in between bushes or sits atop a huge planter pot and acts totally still. When the "unsuspecting" walk by, he jump scares them by standing up or whatever.. Most of his "victims" end up laughing it off (i.e. "You got me!"). He even gives them his business card, etc. etc. Yes, there are some that take umbridge to it, but he's been at this for over 3 years that I can tell and he's still alive! Some of the little kids actually do get scared but he calms them down. It's so popular and so viral on social media that there are Bushmen in several countries, including the UK, South Korea and even Ghana. Here's a sample (NSFW as you can guess there's a bit of colorful language)






In fact one of the most popular Bushman is based right here in Florida: "Creepy Bushman," with his own YouTube channel. What I like about him is that he uses an old classic "siren whistle" as part of the Jump Scare.






I can't believe he's been so successful in FL. I worry that somone who is "packing" but a little nervous might freek and draw and fire on him. Either that, or the USA being much more litigious than other countries would come after him that way. But he is often very funny. In fact, some people who he "gets" often stick around on the opposite benches and watch him 'get" others. That said, he could be very good for us in 2A by being a fantastic exercise in "Situational Awareness." Get him, before he "gets you."


One more: Bushman Ghana - Freakin' Hilarious

All he needs is another weisenheimer like himself to come along and, after "bushman" jumps out, the intended victim grabs his chest,

"Oh, Oh, It's the big one. Elizabeth, here I come.!"

Not that I know anyone who would do such a thing.

Ever watch the guy with the fart machine,99% of the women crack a smile or just outright laugh. Bends over to pick up a penny and riiiip a nasty sounding wet fart,LOL,pretty good.

There are some very real concerns regarding his operation. First, he often sets up on a very busy street in Clearwater. The concern there being, if he freeks out a kid (and he often does), the kid could run out in the middle of the street and get hit by a car. Thankfully, he minimizes that by setting up on the beach front where there is human traffic, but no cars. Additionally, since a lot of people are "packing" in those areas, if he spooks someone, he could easily risk assault and battery if not worse (i.e. be shot). Hopefully, no one who's carrying is that jittery, but... Finally, even if not a risk of "death of great bodily harm," he risks being sued like crazy if someone strokes out or, like you say, does a "Fred Sanford" for real. I can see getting away with it in some of the other countries (UK, South Korea, Ghana, etc.) but I'm amazed he's not worried about being sued to the hilt (USA being, generally, a lot more litigious). Still, even with all those risks, he's been at it for over 3 years and is still out there. Most of the people do laugh it off, but there are a few a$$holes who can't see the humor in it.

That said, as stated previously, it's a great exercise in "Situational Awareness." If you see a weird looking plant with two Go-Pros on each side of it, it's probably Mr. Bushman himself. Get him (i.e. acknowledge his presence) before he gets you!

Oh, and the correct quotation is..... "YOU HEAR THAT ELIZABETH... I'M COMMIN' TO JOIN YA HONEY!"

Seriously I'd not do that. He's not showing the one's that didn't like it.

He may not be able to show them. If they don't allow it (i.e. not sign a release), he could be sued for showing them. Hell, he could be sued for a lot of different stuff, but here he is 4 years later, still at it.
