So, how should we be preparing for this "election"?

I am not soliciting any posts advocating anything illegal or "kinetic." If you fed-post, I'll just assume you are just that, a Fed. Or a total moron.
The two most obvious results are:
Harris "wins," life goes on. We have a hugely anti-gun commie president.
Trump wins, life goes on. We have a tepidly pro-gun president at best.
However, there are other scenarios which I give nonzero chances. These include, but are not limited to:
1. Trump wins, and there is enormous political violence thereafter, like the Summer of St. George squared. Obviously your concern about this will vary depending where you live. At least we have a solid governor here in Florida--the NG will be out where needed at the first sign of trouble. People in cities (and shitty suburbs) in commie states, good luck.
2. Trump wins, and he is prevented from taking office by what is effectively a coup. A coup here in the U.S. of A., you say? Well, in case you missed it, you just had a de facto coup deposing Biden without any discussion of it whatsoever in the MM. That would be impossible with Trump, of course--by definition, it will be very noticable.
3. At some point in the process, the Left finally succeeds in killing Trump, as they have now tried twice. What that entails, who knows?
4. At some point in the process, the psychopaths who govern us get their wish--either as a means to another goal (like canceling an election), or as an end in itself--and we are embroiled in direct warfare with Russia. How far that goes, who can say? (Which, obviously, is the chief reason to avoid such things). If this went full-bore nuke, well, nice knowing you.
Feel free to add other possibilities you may see.
I bring this up because I saw a gun friend this weekend. He lives in Miami-Dade County. He's solidly pro-2A, and has like 30 guns: all handguns and milsurp stuff. No ARs, AKs, or (shockingly to me) even a shotgun. I'm like, "Dude, you need to gun up a bit. Now." Anybody in MDC or similar such situations here in FL needs to be riot-prepared. Yes, DeSantis would get the NG out as needed, but that is a solution (and maybe just a partial one) that works in like 48+ hours. Until then, you need effective deterrence of your own. Frankly, everybody in FL, due to hurricanes, should already have this minimal level of prep in place. In fact, aside from guns, your worst-case hurricane prep already in place may put people in Florida in a much better position than folks in other states.
