 Hey guys. I’m looking to get a .444 Marlin
Lever action
Rossi R95 20 inch barrel
I’m gonna use underwood .444 Marlin hard cast bullets
Energy around 3,500 lbs of energy
Does anyone have any experience w .444 marlin?
As of now we can only really buy
Rossi rifles in the caliber
I can’t find any marlin rifles for sale right now
They have a 16 inch Rossi in 444 m
But I’m thinking recoil would be Brutal
Using underwood ammo
Interesting note
I own a aow 6.5 inch rem 870 12 gauge
And I have Brenneke
550 grain hard cast steel slugs made for Grizzley bears
3,550lbs of energy
Almost same as would be my new Rossi r95 20 inch
W under wood ammo
I’ve done a ton of research on the round. A man used underwood .444 marlin in a pistol and took down w 1 shot
Wilds beast, Zebra, and a Giraffe. Another says he used it to put down a bull that needed a mercy kill. The bullet went thru the entire length of the bull. Instant kill
It goes thru 8 inches of wood at 40 yards w ease
I can eventually add a 4x scope to the rossi r95 20 inch w underwood ammo
All shots taken inside 100 yard and in
Ideally 25 yards and in shot taken
To max out ballastics and energy into target
I’ve read .410 shell casings are actually used to
Load .444 marlin or can be used to
