Helena in western NC and what should make the feds real nervous
I have been making pilgrimages 3 to 4 times a year to the western portion of Mitchell County (Buladean to be precise) in NC for the last 20 year. I've own a cabin there for 12 years. The people born and bred there are the most independent, rugged and friendly (until crossed) people I have known. Mos...

It's the economy. I RSO on my days off at a rapid fire friendly range. We have seen a big drop in folks with ammo money.
There is some good deals for those like me that venture into the pawn shops. I just got a P365 XL for 470 OTD.

Re: Supreme Court says bump stocks are legal.
Yeah, not a 2A case as taken by the court, just an abuse of ATF rulemaking. Congress could probably redefine "machine gun" to cover bump stocks and it would, probably, withstand court challenges. And as it is not a 2A ruling, Florida's idiotic law remains valid for now--it would have to b...

Tennessee set this nonsense right. Gun free zones are liable for the safety of any person they require to be disarmed to and from their property. Very simple law that hopefully Florida can take a hint from.

Re: Gun Show Loophole closed? What does it mean?
The way the tax man is trying to put a big on private transactions is really a value added tax (VAT) popular in Europe. Taxing something that has already been taxed is insidious. If a item changes hands enough times the tax paid on it could and does well exceed the price paid when orginally purchase...

Re: Gun Show Loophole closed? What does it mean?
This road to "universal background checks" has nothing to do with safety and everything to do with control and the ablity for them to quiench their never ending greed. Just as the government can't stand the gig economy escaping the federal vig, they can't stand the idea that a dollar may c...

Re: Used Car Buying in Fla
Sounds like when we bought my wife's Subaru. Saw the car a 2 year old 2015 Forester with 12k miles on line, went to the dealer in Pembroke Pines, test drove it, she liked it. So I told the salesman I'll give him the on line price of 20k, in cash plus state sales tax, tag and title transfer. He came ...

That is peanut money in Dade County corruption. He pissed off someone that pulled much larger strings than he thought he did. Then they loosed the dogs of lawfare on him.
