FYI, Sig also offers the "Sig Service Package" whereby they will refurbish the gun, clean it, replace all worn parts, and install night sights, all for $150. Shipping is free, both ways. A hell of a deal.

$4000 for a conventional crown to restore a broken tooth seems excessive

In my experience, insurance never has any dental implant placement or implant restorarion coverage

If you can retain a few natural teeth you'll be better off. The natural teeth that remain serve as a guide for replacing missing teeth, as well as serving as vertical stops for maintaining a comfortable chewing position. (ie, neither overclosed or underclosed when chewing)

Fish- yes, lots of preventive maintenance (cleanings) and taking care of small cavities(even though they may not be symptomatic) before teeth break or start to hurt. If you only seek dental treatment when something is hurting then every visit will be a disaster.
