The meeting happened Monday night. Apparently the full auto being dropped due to insurance coverage is one of several issues that are happening. Board members are being kicked off the board. What a mess!

AFAIK, they don't allow the public to shoot machineguns on area51 anymore. They have a very small space on the main line for full auto. It isn't much but it is something!

Did insurance tell them to drop full auto on renewal, or mid policy term? Or did they get a new policy that had that stipulation from the get go? Usually all changes like that must have advance notice, which should have given them enough time to shop around. Are you a member? It will take a number ...

I did get a little more info about the reason for the rule change at Manatee. Apparently their insurance provider does not allow full auto. I've been told by one of the board members that they want to bring full auto back if possible and are looking into other insurance options for the club. Fingers...

Heads up. I got an email from manatee gun club stating that they no longer allow machienguns. Does anyone know of a machiengun friendly outdoor range in the area?

HK51K is the only gun that gives me a headache just due to the repeated concussion when firing. They are fun to watch though... the fireball is awesome.
