With all the pistols (and revolvers) out there chambered for the 45acp, it's doubtful the .45Gap would ever be able to replace the .45acp.

Yup. That’s why the 45 GAP failed. Physics is behind 45 GAP, Glock is behind 45 GAP, but as long as there are a hundred thousand 45 ACP firearms out there, 45 GAP won’t take off.

I feel the same way about the 10mm, even though that cartridge fills more of a niche than the 45 GAP.
