I doubt Whitman raised as much outrage among politicians as shooting JFK and RFK. Can't have the peasants shooting the country elites.

If this country doesn’t get its act together PDQ that will be the rule rather than the exception, I’m afraid.

Yet Florida still can't pass campus carry, or remove any other carry-prohibited place on the current list. Heck, before CA got even more stupid a couple of years ago licensees there could carry on school (K-12) grounds. Even after that change California's prohibit places list is still significantly smaller than ours.
