NRATV shuts down

The National Rifle Association has reportedly terminated production on NRATV and has split with advertising firm Ackerman McQueen, which operates the NRA’s live broadcasting.
The New York Times reported that the channel will continue to air past content, but hosts like Dana Loesch will no longer represent the NRA.
“Many members expressed concern about the messaging on NRATV becoming too far removed from our core mission: defending the Second Amendment. So, after careful consideration, I am announcing that starting today, we are undergoing a significant change in our communications strategy. We are no longer airing ‘live TV’ programming,” Wayne LaPierre, the NRA’s chief executive, said in a memo likely being sent out to members Wednesday.
The announcement comes after months of the NRA and Ackerman’s relationship being strained, leading them to end their almost four-decade-long partnership last month.
Ackerman said in a statement it was “not surprised that the NRA is unwilling to honor its agreement to end our contract and our long-standing relationship in an orderly and amicable manner.”

“When given the opportunity to do the right thing, the NRA once again has taken action that we believe is intended to harm our company even at the expense of the NRA itself,” the company added, according to The Times. It added it “will continue to fight against the NRA’s repeated violations of its agreement with our company with every legal remedy available to us.”
The split comes as the N.Y. Attorney General Office has investigated and issued subpoenas into the NRA’s tax-exempt status and reports of “questionable payments” by the nonprofit, which is chartered in New York.
Former President Oliver North said in a letter read during the NRA’s annual convention in April that he would not seek a second term as president but would be creating a committee to examine Mr. LaPierre’s potential financial mismanagement.
“If true, the NRA nonprofit status is threatened. There is a clear crisis that needs to be dealt with immediately and responsibly so the NRA can continue to focus on protecting our Second Amendment,” he wrote.

If I understand, correctly, they will continue to show old re-runs but won't be producing any new content.

We'll see if they go ahead and hire the talent from the network directly.. (Cam, Dana Loesch, Collion Noir, etc.)...

As I've said many many times on other forums. WLP will destroy the NRA before he gives up power and the money. WLP knows that if he's not in control with his goonies. That audits will show the CORRUPTION that has taken place within the organization under his watch.

Example is the millions paid to those attorney's for BASICALLY nothing. I wonder just how much of that money made it's way back to WLP under the table.

To be an organization that is run basically off of donations and sells of merchandise, but primarily donations from NRA MEMBERS who btw are the REAL NRA NOT WLP.

But back to the point. For it's top executives to pay THEMSELVES millions and millions plus perks plus expensive trips, bonuses and the list goes on is a slap in the face of it's members.

Then to send out letters, emails ect...stating they need money, that the NRA is hurting. Gee I guess it's time for yearly raises or something. What's WLP get paid before perks, I think over $5,000,000.00 and that's just him.

What's Hammer get paid for doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. This is a joke what they are doing with OUR MONEY. Then to have the audacity no not audacity. STUPIDITY to ask members under the guise that they need more money for what. Legislation to help gun owner. WOW they must think we are really really nieve.

This is a non profit organization. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against someone earning a great income for doing a great job. But 5.1 million come on that's just plain stupid. No wonder he's taken over the NRA corruption

Hammer received $270,000 from the NRA last year for “consulting services and legislative lobbying in Florida” in the wake of the Parkland school massacre. She was paid another $134,000 in 2017 “for legislative lobbying services in Florida

These traitors that abused this fine organization and twisted it into their own personal bank should face CRIMINAL PERSECUTION for misuse of funds. They've done hardly anything for the amount of money they've gotten from us. Except line their pockets.

Yet when we the members complain. Remember what they called us. Traitors to the NRA, that we were not smart enough to make decisions about anything. That they knew best on who should run for the board not us.

WLP and his people he has placed in a position of power will take down the NRA before they give up power. Because WLP believes that HE IS THE NRA and as always. Power corrupts people if they have been in a position to long.

WLP knows exactly what he's doing and how the members of this great organization feels about him. We want him gone. Be WLP does not care and there in lays the problem. WLP does not care about the NRA. He cares only about power and money.

WLP is no better the the DEMOCRATIC SOCIALIST EXTREMISTS NAZIS PARTY. WLP has secured his position by over seeing the changing the laws within the NRA making it almost impossible to remove him without taking down the NRA with him.

FTR, Dana Loesch refused to comment on the issues, today. She stated on her radio show, "When I am ready to comment, I will do so, and you will know. But it will be on my time, not yours."

I'm not sure what that means... Does it mean she's trying to go for a deal directly with the NRA? I don't know. Some think not, as they claim she's a difficult partner with which to work. We'll see. But I'd like to see Cam, again, and Loesch and Collion Noir. I think they need people who can relate to the potential youth that could come to the organization.

I have my own personal opinion of WLP and whether or not he should remain, but I will keep that to myself.
