Ironically, colibri .22 rounds unsuppressed would be quieter than an air rifle. I run along a canal and there are dozens...I'd love to pop them but it's on the main road and I'm sure someone would call the popo "OHMEHGURD, MAN WITH A GUUUUUUUUUN!"

CCI LR quiets are about the same as an average pellet rifle

I don't have great eyes but I can actually watch this ammo go down range through the scope. It has quite the arch.

The newer PCP .22 pellet rifles are advertised at 1400 fps.

Although it might do the same damage to the neighbor kid's azz, defending the criminal charge might be easier if a "pellet gun" was involved vs. a firearm.

Supersonic pellets are still noisy AF. A just under supersonic .22 pellet is more than adequate for an iguana.
