Clearance prices on ammo at Walmart
Clearance prices on ammo at Walmart
Anybody else been buying ammo from Walmart lately?
They are clearing out a lot of ammo (.223/5.56, 9mm, 45 ACP, all self-defense ammo, etc.) and prices are what they were 20 years ago. They had 50 round box of Remington UMC .223 for $7, 150 rounds of M855 for $30, Winchester 100 round White Box 9mm for $7, 20 round box of 9mm, 38 special, 45 ACP self-defense ammo for $2.50 - $5. It seems every store is making up their own prices.

I have not but those are great prices. With Christmas around the corner and a booming economy ((Thanks President Trump!), a mall...and Walmart in particular are the last places I'd wanna be in.

I went during lunch time and store had very little people. There was only one other person at the sporting counter buying a box of shotgun shells.
I just did some quick calculation and I think it will cost me about $89 to load 900 rounds of .223/5.56 55gr FMJ using my brass and components from 15-20 years ago. If I had to buy components today it would be closer to $140.

I was at my local one yesterday,
Wolf 308 150gr FMJ @ $2.50 a box
38 Special 130gr @ $4.00 a box
pretty much everything else was either full retail price, or gone.

I had to go to 4 different stores to get those 66 boxes of that UMC .223 as 2 stores were barren when I got there this morning.
Couple stores had 20 round boxes of Remington Golden Saber or Federal HST in 380 ACP, 38 Special and 9mm for $2.50, $4.00 or $5.00 depending on the store.

My two closest Walmarts were bare of everything except .38 and .22. I remember when you couldn't find .22 at all.

Went to my local Wally World today around 5pm and they had nothing on sale. There were 2 boxes of Winchester 44 mag for $30 which is a decent price but I load my own. They had lots of 22 at regular prices and tons of hunting ammo, but nothing in the way of other handgun or MSR ammo. Called the other store that's about 15 miles away and they said there was no clearance on ammo. Guess you guys in libtard land got all the breaks and us up here in redneck land got shafted.
