Excerpt:
"As lawyers for Gov. Ron DeSantis and Attorney General Ashley Moody defend a state law dealing with local gun regulations, Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried is backing cities and counties that argue the law is unconstitutional.
Fried’s attorneys Tuesday filed a brief arguing that the 1st District Court of Appeal should uphold a circuit judge’s decision that sided with the cities and counties."
Tuesday, a Christmas Eve dump.

Sounds like the unfortunate ramifications of loosing a particular election. It was always understood that she is no friend of the 2A community. Quite unfortunate indeed. The below is from Ballotpedia.com. Not sure how the above effort falls within the below duties....
The commissioner heads the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, an agglomeration of 13 divisions and five offices involved in the regulation and promotion of Florida's agriculture and consumer services industries. FDACS agencies establish rules for the state's animal, aquaculture, forestry and produce industries, license producers, provide marketing support for the state's agribusinesses and oversee emergency preparedness and law enforcement efforts covering the agriculture industry.
In addition to its agricultural duties, the department regulates various consumer services businesses, including motor vehicle repair shops, charitable organizations, dance studios, pawnshops, telemarketers and several others.

Typical leftist, trying to end-run the will of the people, and the Federal and State Constitutions, with technicalities and assorted “road bumps” to get their way. Just another mole.
Hurrah for the Bonnie Blue Flag that bears a Single Star.

She needs a good swift kick in the ass and out on the street!
I’d love to see cities and counties prepare to make local ordinances against “woke” laws citing that they know what their constituents want more than the State of Florida and see how far that goes.
She's trying to make crime worse for someone's benefit. You can bet anywhere they want to make more restrictive laws are the most crime ridden places in this State where the people don't follow the current laws as is anyway.

They didn't, it was a compromise to end all the bullshit around the voter fraud and Gillum. Didn't you see on the news Democrats were suddenly finding "storage bins full of ballots" ?
To appease the D, they threw them commish of Agriculture.
