AK builders in Florida?

Post by G_Loc »

Bought an AMD65 kit from Classic Arms on a whim and looked into putting it together on my own, but I don't have time for that nor do I wish to buy all the tools

Are there any builders or gunsmiths in South Florida that could put it together for a reasonable fee? I have everything except the receiver

you don't even have half the battle, the receiver runs about $ 100 and either you buy it or it will have to transfer back thru and FFL back to you....

we charge $ 250 for the build, and another $ 100 if you want it refinished in matte blue or parkerized, cerakote options start about $ 150

feel free to email me below or PM back

I have all the tools, multiple kits (with original barrels) and multiple Nodak receivers and yet I still haven't taken the time to complete the builds. I doubt I ever will, but so far haven't really wanted to drop $300 on someone else doing it. They're on the "one of these days..." list!

It talkes the better part of a day to build 1

So how mechanic works on your car, all day do you think the labor charge would be any less than $300 ?

My point is that I don't want to spend that kind of money right now on a build...I didn't say it wasn't a fair price. I miss the days of AK build parties when a bunch of guys would get together and bang out builds in someone's shop or garage. Those days are long gone.
