More panic induced economic impact

Having seen oil drop in price and major upstream companies (drilling, exploration, supply) start cutting back and laying scores of people off.

The writting on the wall is the mid stream and down stream (refining) are going to be effected as well...

Though most likely in months to come.

I work with all the major refineries in the U.S, they run so much product, that each year they shutdown and do overhaul maintenance to keep the running. This provides great jobs for 100s of thousands of workers.

If the refineries slow down, and do not process as much as they normally do, you can imagine the economic impact that will have for those within this industry.

Also, as of today 3 major refineries, one being the u.s's largest, held a meeting about postponing the shutdown maintenance work do to this COVID 19, and the fact that these jobs bring in on average 4 to 7,000 workers per site. They dont want to contribute to the spread. And spread it will. Most workers are bussed into the refineries, all coughing and shitting on eachother.

This 100% you cannot turn on the tv without hearing that the world is ending. The LEFT WING SOCIALIST EXTREMISTS and NEWS MEDIA called Trump an extremist for reacting the way he did early on with all the travel restrictions. Now the very same people are saying he did not act soon enough.

Plus Obama did not do anything until after 1000 people died from H1N1 yet the NEWS MEDIA treated him totally different and he could do no wrong.

Tell me....how the hell does anyone one person control a virus. Except how everything that's been done so far as a whole. No one eninity can control anything like this. It take participation of everyone on an individual level.

But to weaponize this virus as a political tool is wrong. The President trys to help AMERICA with positive messages of not panicking.
