Most lots are 5 acres, as far as I know. Great rural county, conservative, poor, but friendly people. Hot, with lots of gnats. Not many jobs.
My prop tax is 90$ per year per acre,, dirt cheap.
Most people shoot in their yards. A fair range is in ft white. Half hour away.
Do you need a real estate agent?

Sweep , you may want to also look in the Branford area. That small town has most anything you need. About 1/2 hour to I-75.
Many folks travel to Lake City or Gainsville for doctors. VA in both towns.
And it should be a buyers market - I see a lot of homes for sale. If on the river, you prolly need a stilt house, for flooding. Many folks do mobile homes, like me.
County population is sometthing like 45k people - not much traffic!

If you are buying on the river, check the legal description closely for access easements. My ex brother-in-law's property on the river in Dixie County has an access easement across it for the people downriver from him who can't access all of their property from their driveway gate on the hard road. The next property downriver is owned by the Water Management District, so there's an issue with the general public accessing the WMD land across BIL's land.
....and some rin up hill and down dale, knapping the chucky stanes to pieces wi' hammers, like sae mony road-makers run daft - they say it is to see how the warld was made!
