I don't know his name. Short guy. Power tripping. Pissed off look on his face most of the time.Flashooter22 wrote: ↑Sat May 02, 2020 7:42 pmYea which one are you talking about??Racer88 wrote: ↑Sat May 02, 2020 6:40 pmI've been going to the PBSO range for years, and I don't know which one is the "little bitty Napoleon." ???Tenzing_Norgay wrote: ↑Fri May 01, 2020 6:56 pm
Yep. Except for the little bitty deputy with the Napoleon complex, they were laid back...no range Nazi's.
If the RO's are civilians at this new venue, I fear the "Security Guard Syndrome"...
I admit having the same concern about the new place. But, I'll try to remain optimistic!

On the range? Or in the office? I have not encountered anyone like that in the last several years there.Tenzing_Norgay wrote: ↑Sat May 02, 2020 10:57 pmI don't know his name. Short guy. Power tripping. Pissed off look on his face most of the time.

On the range. He eventually came around, but my first impression was "power trip".Racer88 wrote: ↑Sun May 03, 2020 5:44 pmOn the range? Or in the office? Hmm.... no idea. I've been going there for several years, and every single RSO has been super-nice. Some are more conversational than others. But, all of them have been great, in my experience. I'm going to miss that range.Tenzing_Norgay wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2020 9:43 am

I think the 1-hour time limit will be problematic. Most hot / cold ranges go cold every 20 - 30 minutes... for at least 10 minutes. That means you'll get to shoot two targets and then have to leave. That's not including set-up and break-down time.
Honestly, I was very excited about having this new range, which is close to where I live. But, if I'm limited to an hour, it's not worth going.
Also, one person per lane is an issue for those of us who bring our children and share a rifle.
Damn, I'm going to miss the PBSO range.

I agree, however this is only temporary due to the covid crap. Once all that goes away and the facility is open to full capacity it will be nice. I am also close by so plan on using the hell out of the range. Hopefully they have some sort of yearly membership.
When I went to a public meeting the FWC had about the range (several months ago, maybe a year ago), they specifically said they would NOT be offering memberships.Flashooter22 wrote: ↑Thu May 14, 2020 11:38 am I agree, however this is only temporary due to the covid crap. Given current economic conditions, hopefully that will change
