PELOSI Response to basically tearing down of statues

People will do what they do. I don't even have a pair of my grandmother's earrings.
This was in response of a mob tearing down a Columbus statue and throwing it into the harbor.

But from her statement and the way she said along with F you facial response. It sounds like it could be meant for any of the monuments. Including those like Mt Rushmore and founding fathers. I mean after all, people will do, what they do.

What kind of a response is that for an ELECTED REPRESENTATIVE let alone the SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE to say about the out right lawlessness and mob destruction our our nation's monuments. Including George Washington and Thomas Jefferson.

This is the argument for term limits. Decent but naive people will say," But we have elections; those are term limits." Trouble is, a Representative needs only "bring home the bacon" for the district, and will get re-elected based on that, rather than idiocy imposed on the rest. Look at her district. Says it all. She'll be in it until she dies, and Satan probably doesn't want her. And, with a Biden win, she'll be in her glory and fully rejuvenated for more troublemaking.

Lifetime tenure in Congress is not what the originators of the Constitution had in mind. Pretty sure Pelosi, like many of her aged cohorts in Congress, doesn’t represent the majority millennial voters that are two generations behind her.
I think standardizing a two or three-term period of public service is a good idea. Good luck on getting them to pass anything that limits their power or their paycheck. They have us right where they want us.

That's something that's always amazed me that Congress could voted their own pay raise. It would seem prudent since WE are suppose to be their bosses. That WE should be the one's that vote on if they deserve to get raises based on job performance.

Which they'd never get a raise in that case. I wonder if we could get an signatures to get an admendment to change raises to voter.

Why are, we the people, even voting for them? Folks need to stop sending the problems to DC. Try finding a real solution. Yeah I know, keep dreaming, but that is about the only real watt to get our country b back for we the people.
