My stainless steel Mini 14 Ranch Rifle that I got in trade for one of my H&K USP's a few years ago. I added a barrel stabilizer, muzzle break and a red dot to it.

Dose the stabilizer work? If so what kind did you get. I have an old mini that scatters my rounds but I love the gun.

The stabilizer does work. I bought it in conjunction with the muzzle break, it is a Mo-Rod and it cut my group down from 2.5" to about 1.25" at 100 yards. The Mini 14 is not a MOA shooter and never will be, but its accuracy can be improved upon with the stabilizer. Even so the groups will start to open up some as the barrel heats up. That's why I removed my scope and just put a red dot on it, the red dot will allow a hit on an 8" pie plate at 100 yards which is good enough for me. YMMV

I've heard the stabilizer works very well but it appears better to chop the barrel, add folding stock and selecter. :) 3000 yd shots.

Thanks G Forster. Just want to cut that group down to size. It was designed more as a battle rifle and not a target rifle. Will try it out. Thanks👍
