I wanna drive right down the middle of the left lane blasting Jampony Express over blown speakers with tons of distortion!

used to know a guy who had an awesome 57 Chevy cart, chrome and
powder coated everything, 48v with custom motor and speed controller.
it would do 45+ mph and was fully street legal. he had $40k+ invested.
call a few local cart shops, most sell used carts and can give you all
the info you want.
keep in mind when looking at private sellers, anything that has been
sitting for more than a few months will need new batteries regardless
of what seller tells you ! and good batteries (Trojan) are $100+ each.
if they're not left on an automatic charger or charged once a week
they are junk.

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools !

Best batteries are trojan. Brand new batteries will go 3-4 years tops. Refurbished batteries will last about 3 years tops. There is a retired officer that lives on sample road that sell carts, gas or batteries and refurbished batteries with yours trade in. I have only owned batteries operated ones but gas ones are cheaper to maintain but cost more. You dont have to worry about the batteries or charger going bad.
Does Rent still have that 'dear friend' of his down in Wilton Manors that has all the power tools? Rent's guy could probably hook you up. Maybe get you a free pair of Sansabelt pants and a matching set of loafers. And a nipple ring.
In Broward I deal with https://blockbustergolfcarts.com/
I quit dealing with him when he sold his last members only jacket
