I've lost a LOT of faith in the process over the last 2 decades.

That a very vocal minority drives so much of societal change and strife without fear of reprisal is disheartening. That a supposed 50%+ of our nation is so brain damaged that they would elect a man with obvious dementia is mindboggling.

When armed black panthers were in front of polling places intimidating voters a dozen years ago, NOTHING was done.

I guess a roaring economy, record low unemployment, and having a CiC with balls meant nothing to millions. Did I dislike a lot of Trump's actions? Yep, but I was able to see the larger picture and figured it a logical tradeoff.

That the vote couldn't be tallied fairly and accurately is a huge disappointment and seriously FUBAR.

Elections get stolen, that has always been the case. Go read about 1960. Nixon was outright robbed by the Daley machine in Chicago, manufacturing votes for Kennedy.

You can fight or quit. The libs always overplay their hand. Personally I can't wait until they start pushing "reparations" (already underway in California). You will see so many Hispanics, Asians and Indians (dot, not feather) move right it will astonish you. Hell an "affirmative action" constitutional amendment went down by 10 points in CALIFORNIA, even after outspending the opposition 14-1.

In 1930s, 40s, 50s the immigrants and their children--Italian, Irish, etc.,--were reliable Dem voters. Then they became middle class, and the blacks and left were rioting in the streets in the 60s. By 1980 these children of immigrants were voting for Reagan.

There are opportunities out there--we need to take them. Hell even among blacks, Trump got the largest percentage vote for the GOP since 1960.

In order to expand the conservative electorate, millions of millennials (largest voting bloc) and there children would have to be converted over from socialism. That isn’t going to happen until they experience the failures of socialism first-hand. That will take at least one generation. The best way forward, in my opinion, is to vote locally and at the state level and demand our state legislatures return to federalism.

As a human being, there is no comparison--Trump is trash, Reagan was a great gentleman. Those of us of a certain age remember Trump from back in the days of Reagan, when Trump first became a public personality. He was obnoxious. I hated his guts no later than 1985. But all that being said, his policies as President were generally good and his judicial appointments generally very good--especially in comparison to the alternative.

But my point is that these things tend to be cyclical. Now, I do think (which I have said before) that the changing demographics of the US very well might interrupt or even destroy this pattern--"demographics is destiny." But the past few months have shown a tendency I have underestimated: the arrogance of the Left in overplaying their hand, insisting on policies that very well might alienate this new demographic. As I highlighted, I think this "reparations" bullshit is number 1 on the list. Outside of many/most blacks, and self-hating liberal whites, there is no constituency for this. Do you think Asians, Hispanics, Indians, etc., want to open their wallets to gift (more) money to a pathological black subculture? Hell no. I can only pray the Left really starts to push this nonsense. The push is already underway in California (https://deadline.com/2020/09/newsom-cal ... 234589050/) and elsewhere. This and other shit--like their tranny obsessive bullshit--are an enormous turnoff to all kinds of people, not just white conservatives. So while the situation is dire, it is not hopeless. There is just a lot of work to do.

The Senate won't deadlock anyway. Consider the RINOs, such as the doddering old biddy from Maine, Collins, and Murkowski from Alaska, and of course everyone's favorite, "Mittens" Romney. So, with 48 dems in the Senate, and these three RINOs, they have a majority. And, there are more RINOs, I assure you, it's just that these are the most obvious.

Even RINOs can't vote for court packing. In fact I am not sure some Democrats can, but who knows.
