Unless you can run on someone else's plug, you won't earn more than you're paying. Buddy was running at 2kw/h, 48 hours, for ~$7 (at the $20k bitcoin price)... power bill at $0.12 is about $11.50... Maybe getting close to even now, but it's not El Dorado.

Bet on black, let the wheel spin, and try and get as many free drinks as you can before you're too far down.

yea I used to, when it was cheap; then I lost a wallet with 120+ coins in it. wife still can't forget that

use AMD Radeon card to do it, a critical instruction for calculating hashes takes 1 cycle on those GPUs, nVidia took 2, making AMD hardware way more efficient at it. or at least that used to be the case several years ago. oh and dont get me started on Tor and The Silk Road... those were the days... :D

I remember Tor and Silk Road! I gave buying $1,000 worth of BTC when they were $1.20 each a hard look. But I told myself, only criminals use this for shady things on Silk Road don't get yourself on some hacker list or whatever.....biggest financial mistake of my entire life.

There still isn't much legal use of it, and anyone who tells you otherwise is just hoping their financial investment in it keeps going up.

I'm glad I didn't buy in at 8 cents when I first heard about it. I probably would have done something stupid and ended up with a criminal record because of it.

Yes. My point still stands.

How much do you spend of your investment on things you would normally buy with USD?
