Armed March on state capitol

I don't know if it's true or disinformation in an attempt to quash the demonstration. Makes sense, though, in light of the 6 January fiasco. When I saw the gates pulled aside and the surroundings, I blurted out to my wife "This is classic Caesar." Worked 2000+ years ago, works now. A trap.

People have the right to march and demonstrate, of course. But non-morons pick their spots wisely, and this is not the time/place for marches and demonstrations. We should be utilizing other avenues for redress of grievances. The streets are not the end-all and be-all of resistance.

One thing is for sure, either from the Right or Left: if you ask people to hit the streets, you should anticipate that agent provocateurs from the fringes of your opposition will try--and likely succeed, to at least some extent--to infiltrate your numbers and undertake violent actions to discredit you. Right now there is no need to hand matches and gasoline to people intent on burning down the Reichstag.

Very true. Great problems can come out of small-arms in such an environment, especially since the "right" fell for such a simple trick last week.

Leftists Against Fascism and Capitalism
I'm kind of confused. Fascism along with socialism/communism too closely resembles the dark ages feudalism. A king, president, chancellor, prime minister, führer, vozhd, or duce who controls everything and allows the peasantry/villiens a barely subsistence living has been the human environment for eons.
Capitalism/free market are the fresh new LIBERAL ideology.
When one person or political party strives to be THE ONLY ONE government is reverting to feudalism. And there is no difference in the outcome feudalism, fascism, socialism and communism leads to. Poverty for most and luxury for a chosen few.
Wanting to end income disparity will never happen, but the leftists desired government is the worst way to go.

So is the gist of the article that it is a bad idea to stage an armed revolt because democraps might be baiting you into a trap? Is the implication here that leftist masterminds have been manipulating republicans into doing stupid shit all along?

Or... is the more obvious answer true: armed demonstrations fueled by intense butthurt and conspiracy theories generally a bad idea in itself?

Perhaps, a bit of both. People need to first get past left and right. Get to all of them need to go. Party politics is the real issue. Unfortunately the answer is harsh and tough to do.

The day may come where non-violent means do not work... hopefully it isn't here yet.

We've been shown that elections can be rigged to a greater extent than ever before. We've been shown that virtually all of our media (internet, "social media", regular TV media) are censored by the left...

So 2 of the three pieces of total oppression are in place. 1. No effective outlet through the political process. 2. no means of publicly voicing dissent easily.

The third piece of oppression is missing though. That would be, in my opinion, the implementation of policies that violate our existing freedoms.

When the day comes that the third piece is in place, we may have no option but to look outside of peaceful means.

The third piece of oppression? There are tens of thousands of laws that guarantee we commit three felonies a day...pick one.

That is true. Joke about that all the time actually. Over-legislation with selective enforcement guarantees they can always ramp-up their involvement in your life if they wish to. Always have an excuse to stop you on the road or come knocking on your door.

I'm peaceful because nobody bothers me, and it has nothing to do with laws at the end of the day. If someone starts bothering me I will likely not be peaceful.
