Having been in a business where hundreds could, and sometimes did, die if government design and test standards weren't followed completely I beg to differ with any sort of absolutist anarcho-capitalist system. The argument should be a matter of degree, the limits of government powers, not expanding them to the absolute as with the Socialists (AKA Democrats) or eliminating those powers completely.

I will reply that absent the government’s design and test standards, the private market would provide an equal or superior product. It is the end user, the customer who pays for it, who determines the degree of design and test standards, after all. Private companies are compelled by the pursuit of profits to meet their customer’s needs, and failing to do so means failure for the companies.jjk308 wrote:Having been in a business where hundreds could, and sometimes did, die if government design and test standards weren't followed completely I beg to differ with any sort of absolutist anarcho-capitalist system. I am a test engineer privately employed by a leading technology company, and I have first-hand experience in specification requirements demanded by our product design...and we send those requirements to our privately-owned vendors for their manufacture. The government is not involved in this transaction between our two companies.
Mil-Spec requirements are set by the government, however, and that is a whole different discussion.

Governor: DeSantis by a landslide.
Senator: Scott
Everyone else: Big Republican majority.
Blue wave: Liberal media wet dream.
The Dems are true morons, picking the most Liberal, tainted, incompetent candidate for gov and keeping a dotty old has been on the ticket for the US Senate.
No clue what this state has become. And is becoming.
