Florida Gun Trader has seriously gone downhill

The problem I’m seeing is that the Admins on FGT might be deleting spam ads but not the accounts themselves. I’m seeing the same accounts that registered months ago post scams over and over. It doesn’t take a genius to figure if they are a scammer in January they’re also a scammer in May so delete the whole account and not just the ad.

Also, they haven’t responded to a single message I’ve sent.

I had an account over there but it was hacked into by the troll Terry B Benton of Leesburg Fl.This is the guy who for several years sends out porno pics on the site is a racist, and has been threatening people forever the site owners do nothing about it. I used to post an item now and then to sell or trade but not anymore.

Some strange shit going on right now on FGT. I think someone is or has hacked them. I was just there a moment ago. As soon as I logged into my account I was suddenly an Admin! I am NOT an Admin on FGT. Just a regular account. However, it said Admin and all of a sudden I had 182 messages as well as other Admin capabilities. When I tried to go to the Central Florida section to look at ads it kicks me out. I'm doing it now on another page, at the top right is says 'Welcome Admin'.

Something similar happened to me. I logged in and was in someone else's account, and could see id, password, home address, etc. Seems fixed, now. I'm really considering taking down my ads and never going there again. I don't see a way to close the account, but i can use some ridiculous password, and the home address is an old one anyway. May have to bite the bullet and use GB or Armslist for anything that doesn't work on here.

Saw this today, it said I had 10 listings and three new messages. I haven't logged on in about 4 months. I tried changing my password thru email, wouldn't send out link also I would immediately get logged out when trying to look at the listing and message links on my homepage. Makes you wonder.

Yep, I took down all my ads. Changed my information in settings. Everything I'm doing keeps kicking me back to 'Admin'. Some possibilities; An Admin got pissed and purposefully screwed up the settings OR the software is glitching like a MF or someone has hacked the site. I'd lean towards someone hacked the site.

As an FYI, this is the response I got to my inquiry.

"At 2:01 p.m. May 15 FloridaGunTrader’s webserver experienced an error that disclosed some user account information to other users.

Upon investigation we found that a table in our database became corrupted. This table which controls user sessions caused havoc with our login system. Users were able to log in with their credentials, but the session data pointed them to a small number of accounts that were “stuck” in the session table.

Although some users were able view other users account information. No financial or transactional data was exposed. The information that was exposed was akin to public phone book information and not of a highly sensitive nature.

This was not a hack or a system compromise simply a system failure. We were not able to detect this issue for almost 15 hours due to the sporadic nature of the occurrences.

Things like this happen. However, I take full responsibility for our failure to recognize the issue in a more timely manner.
