This is very telling, " politically center, right of center, or right-wing. " basically they're outing themselves as left wing extremists. This was a real gem too, "an intellectual environment that is hostile to redistributive left-wing ideas." They aren't interested in giving anyone any free stuff, these leftist extremist are specifically interested in taking things away from certain people and redistributing it to others. Then there's this, "So We Need New Stories takes pains to show how free speech principles are now being used by the powerful to attack the weak;” In other words they're not only against freedom of speech but they also want to silence all opposition, in other words they're totalitarians. You cannot compromise with these people, they will settle for nothing less than total control even at the cost of your destruction. If they do gain the power they want they have openly stated they want to tear you down and give everything you've worked for to others.

The problems with this is #1 a London-based columnist and #2 London does not believe in a CONSTITUTION and the BILL OF RIGHTS that would give the people power of any kind to control their lives. That includes protecting themselves or family.
Think about it. In London if you defend yourself against a criminal. The victim is more than likely to be charged also if they use force against the criminal based upon the decision by LE, did they use to much force. Sometimes the criminal may be not be charged. Plus if you meet violence with that same force instigated against you. There have been times the victim was charged. Their entire legal system benefits the thug more than the victim.
One incident that comes to mind. An older man lived alone. He'd been broken into 3 times in an X amt of time. I believe when this happened they could still own shotguns. Anyways on the 3rd break in owner was home. He confronted the robbers they threaten him while in his home. Owner fired his shotgun striking one of the criminals that came at him. The property owner was arrested and charged with using deadly force. The thugs sued him also.
Remember also the soldier that was beheaded in the street and not one single Brit that saw this did a thing to stop it. Why......? Fear of persecution maybe.
So here we now have British hypocrisy at it's best dictating American rights as being flawed. Like a British man I met once said to me. You Americans have way too many rights.
