Any suggestions for best value,quality survival food stash?Mainly meat I’ve got the beans and rice, garden and laying hens.

I canned some chili, some green beans and some boiled peanuts.
I set some chili back in the corner of the pantry and ate it 60 weeks later.
It tasted just like it did the day I made it!
I still have the setup, I should dig it out.
Knowledge of canning and preserving meats will be better in the long run

Prior to hurricane season, we stock up enough for two weeks of meals....that's hw long we wee without power several years back.

It's the most calorie dense AND longest lasting food for the storage space it takes up. I want to try pressure canning on my own some day, but for now I buy things like canned corned beef at Aldi and chicken breast at Sam's. They carried pulled pork at one point...

Interesting information on canning food. My Aunt used to can food when I was a kid. As long as I can buy canned food I will. Check the expiration dates. In times without power you should have a manual can opener and a source of heat if you want hot food, The big thing is to be prepared. Good luck.
