Mine too. Did a couple "almost" ones growing up that hit way north or way south. Andrew was a MF'er. Kicked our butts all the way in Broward and my friends and family that lived in Homestead got bombed hard.

No doubt about it, Andrew was nasty. I was really glad to be living in Orlando at the time. I heard locals talking about a storm that carried it's storm surge all the way across the Florida peninsula, at Orlando, long before my time.

The earliest storm I remember was Donna, in 1960. We were living in OpaLocka then.

Thing about Andrew was it was one of the driest hurricanes I ever heard off. Hardly any flooding really, but that meant it had lots and lots of wind, that was a fast mover.
