I haven't been to a gun shop or gun show since before the pandemic started so I wanted to get a idea of what the trade in value would be for a gen 3 glock 26 and a glock 43.
I want to trade both in for a 43x with out having to come out of pocket for anything besides the background check. Anyone know if thats possible in the current climate? There is a show this weekend in lee County that I might attend or should I just trade in at a shop?
Trade in values
Trade-in is always an ass-rape, no lube. Try selling them here first.

Ah that's one thing about our Flame, doesn't play any favorites! Flame hates everybody!
Maybe 50% of what the dealer thinks he can get for them on a quick sale, if you are lucky!
A nice Gen 3 26 should retail $375-$400 as a private sale. A store may pay you $275-$300. As for the 43, $350-$375 again as a private sale. A store again would be $100 less. Put them for sale in the for sale section. That’s how I found a real clean 26 Gen 2.5 from a seller here. GARY

Thanks. I'll probably try and sell them locally first instead of trading them.
The dealers think that you should jump at the chance to sell for pennies on the dollar just for the privilege of selling to a "Dealer."
I had one actually tell me that to justify his offer of $205 for a stainless Champion with night sights.

But, but, but I'm A DEALER!
I used a dealer for a trade-in once - he was a bigger crook than my local pawn broker. ( and that's saying something)

Thanks again everyone. I sold both as a pair privately. No losses. I then got myself a new G48 at the gun show at the civic center and spare mags.
If you sold them privately you should have ended up with enough extra to buy a holster and ammo.
