Xgrip

Post by Deputydave »

I carry a Glock 26.4 off duty. Up until today I used a regular G26 10-round with either a Tango Down +2 or Hyve +2 extender. Taking a look at a thread over on GT I decided to get the Xgrip to convert a G19 mag and try it out. Cost $12 off Ebay and came in the mail today. Popped on a G19 mag as expected and have to say that I like it quite a bit. Fills my hand more than even the Hyve +2. Particularly the portion of the rear strap that goes against my palm. Feel like I have an even more positive purchase all the way around.

Good $12 investment.

Anyone else use an Xgrip?

I use the X-Grip on my Beretta 92FS M9A1 Compact and absolutely love it!

Fits perfect and clean lines.

To be honest, I don't know why I didn't think of doing this before rather than the +2 base plates. Same size pretty much but better capacity and you don't have to worry about function or springs being long enough.

The Xgrip is one of those ideas that are a well kept secret but is an awesome addition to your pistol. I have a few and really like them.

In the G26, I really like the 12 round Magpul mags. They leave the 'total package' just small enough to not be G19 sized.

Since picking up a G43 I haven't had much need for the G26 though...

I had a G43 but just didn't like the limited magazine capacity. Eventually traded it off for something else. Picked up the Sig P365 and now I have capacity options of 10, 12 or 15 rounds.

Although I don't carry the G26 any longer, I still use it with a G19 mag and Xgrip for HD. I like the 16 rounds on tap.

The G43 was my "gym" gun. Super light and could be tucked AIWB and not interfere with working out.

Since I've converted to a home gym, I haven't felt the need for anything smaller than a P229 in a while!
