Looking for a custom leather rifle sling, potentially more matching leather work.
Wondering if we have anybody that works leather???
Do we have anybody that does leather work?
Place out in Umatilla called Ruffs saddle shop who does custom leather,at least they use to.Give em a call.
Three can keep a secret.......if two are Dead !
You might try Sullivan's Holster Shop in Odessa.
When everything that comes out of your piehole is politics, politics, politics... YOU have a problem
If Sullivan's will accept your work request, I highly recommend them. They make the sheaths for Randall Knives. I have several holsters and belts made by them.
....and some rin up hill and down dale, knapping the chucky stanes to pieces wi' hammers, like sae mony road-makers run daft - they say it is to see how the warld was made!

What ever happened to Sam Andrews?
He used to show up at the gun shows with some seriously nice stuff.

I'll be reaching out to these leads this weekend.

It's funny that you created this thread. I have bought my gun belts from A Better Belt USA out of Texas: https://abetterbeltusa.com/ They make great belts. I own two of them. The belts are The Ultimate Gun Belt.
I recently bought a new Browning BAR LH 30-06 with a nickel receiver. I spent nearly 3 years looking for one. They did a limited production of them and are already discontinued.
I also just bought a gun that I've always wanted: a Henry Classic 45-70 lever action with brass receiver.
These are two VERY special guns to me.
Anyways, I tell you that to tell you that I reached out to my belt guy and asked him if he makes slings. He said he didn't but I convinced him to give it a try. I sourced the swivels for him as well as the tri-glide buckles. I asked him to prototype these in the same design as The Ultimate Gun Belt as I want one for the Browning and one for the Henry. He's in the process of working on this - but I know he's got a full plate with just his business.
They will be done in light tan finish with the double stitching as in this photo: . The sling will be 1.75" at the shoulder and 1.5" at the swivels.
The underside will be a soft buffalo leather to prevent the sling from slipping. I have no idea on the price yet, but I know they won't be cheap (I'm guessing around $200+ each). He will also do some custom engraving on them, but I don't yet know what I want on it. As soon as I hear something from Mike I'll get back to you.

That's good that he's still around, he's an absolute master leather smith!
He must have gotten tired of all the gun show BS.
